Camping at Seacliff State Beach
Camping at Seacliff State Beach

We enjoy seeing the country in an RV. Some people call this "Glamping." Of all the pictures I've taken of us camping over the years, this one is my favorite. I hope it conveys to you the sheer joy of camping on the edge of the beach.

We have owned five trailers over the years. Our first trailer was an 18-foot 1972 Prowler.

We had been planning for a few years that once we were retired, and normalcy had returned after COVID, that we would take an epic trip with our trailer. We talked about making a big loop around the USA and seeing all the key sights along the way. Well, we pulled off this epic trip in 2024! It was really great, and I blogged about it all along the way. Click the button below to go to my blog pages.

With our expanding family (including two dogs) we upgraded to a 24-foot 1980 Majorca Bunkhouse model

Then, when Katie arrived, we upgraded again to a brand-new 27-foot Prowler bunkhouse model

Our fourth trailer was a 2016 Lance model 2285

Our fifth and current trailer is a 2020 Lance model 2375. It looks very similar to our previous trailer, which was also a Lance, and it is only one foot longer. But the inside is laid-out differently and we feel it will be a better fit for us for extended trips. We also have upgraded our pickup truck. We now are riding in a 2024 Ford F150 Platinum Hybrid with all the bells and whistles, including an onboard generator to power the rig.

In 2025 we took another trailer trip - this time to Western Canada. We maintained a blog for this trip as well. Click the button below to view these blog entries.

In 2026 we are taking another trailer trip - this time to Southern Utah. We are again traveling with our friends, Allan & Patricia. Click the button below to view these blog entries.

In case you are curious what the inside of our trailer looks like, here's a promotional video of some salesman giving a tour of our exact model and year. Everything is identical to ours (except the upholstered chairs and dinette cushions are gray not brown.)
